This document is to reflect on my motive, progress, work and collaboration with the team of MyCaptain where design played an important role for Product, Operations, Sales, Communications, HR, Customer Success, Mentees, and Mentors (also called as captains) in the year 2021 - 2023.
I have been a part of MyCaptain to build one of the main products of MyCaptain from 0 to 1 and collaborated with MyCaptain to redesign 2 of their products during my journey at an interdisciplinary design and development studio.
Iām grateful I started my design journey with a bunch of creative folks who set out to disrupt the online creative education in India. Every project was an opportunity for collaboration and peer reviews.
MyCaptain is like a personal career guide that helps you discover your passions, develop your skills, and land your dream job. They offer a variety of courses, workshops, and mentorship programs that are designed to help you succeed in today's competitive job market.
MyCaptain launched PRO courses where learners can get started in aspirational creative careers by getting guidance from industry experts in the form of LIVE classes and industry relevant projects. The final outcomes are proof of work and placement assistance. The courses last for 4-6 months where every learner gets life-time access to course materials and placement updates. These courses are not self-paced and encourages cohort based learning with a rigorous framework of gamifying course modules, project submissions, 1-1 mentorship guidance, regular check-ins, weekly challenges to help learners get from 0-1.
